Born and raised in San Diego, California, by Italian immigrant parents from Milano, Lorenzo has had a passion for the ocean since before he could walk. He began surfing at the age of six, and played water polo at the Varsity level during high school in San Diego.

Prior to water polo, he competed in swimming. The ocean and water sports aren't just his only passion; he raced BMX competitively for over 4 years and played soccer for 12 years. Currently, he is attending San Diego State University, and will graduate in May of 2024 with a bachelor's degree in journalism with emphasis in Media Studies.

Lorenzo also contributes to American Surf Magazine.
